Saturdays have been sketchy at best these days; I don’t have any notes whatsoever. I do know that this painting project is killing me. I feel like hiring somebody at this point which makes no sense because I’m almost done and I can’t afford it! I should be feeling better when the homeowners association is not breathing down my neck. Don’t they know people are starving in Africa??

We met at the community center in San Marcos to scope out the venue for the alternative gift market. It’s a great spot with many options which did make it difficult to come to decisions. In the end, I think we put a good plan together.

Spent some time today dropping off media kits to four churches in the area. I made a couple of new contacts who were really excited. It’s invigorating to meet people who immediately catch the vision and offer to jump in and help. It feels like we’re making progress – who knows.

Tonight we visited the AIDs experience tent I’d blogged about a few days ago. I am intrigued by World Vision’s community transformation model. They do so much more than just sponsoring children. I’m also surprised at World Vision’s efficiency with administrative costs at 13% and falling.
